Celebrating a Meaningful Milestone — Special Needs Yoga Teacher Training | October 2026

Teacher Training Certifications Are Not Created Overnight

Three years in the making — and this year October, our Special Needs Kids & Young Adults Yoga Teacher Training finally came to life in Singapore.

For the past 10 years, my work has centred around supporting children’s wellbeing through yoga and mindfulness — working with children across different ages, abilities and support needs, as well as the ecosystem around them: parents, educators and caregivers.

Over the last three years, I’ve worked intentionally on developing a structured Special Needs Kids & Young Adults Yoga Teacher Training, bringing together my teaching experience, observation, continued study and hands-on work with children and young adults with diverse needs.

This year, we launched our first two Special Needs Yoga Teacher Training batches in Singapore, and seeing our first graduates complete this journey has been incredibly meaningful.

The vision behind the training is simple:

To equip more teachers and professionals with practical tools to create yoga experiences that are inclusive, adaptable and meaningful.

Some of the key areas we explore include:

→ Self-care tools for caregivers and professionals
→ Regulation and emotional wellbeing across diverse needs
→ Adapting yoga poses, breathing and relaxation for different sensory, physical and communication needs
→ Behaviour support and class management
→ Understanding diverse needs while staying present enough to observe, respond and adapt
→ Adapting the practice rather than expecting every child to fit the same approach

At the heart of the training is something I strongly believe in:

Teach the child in front of you — not simply the diagnosis.

Because meaningful inclusion isn’t about making every child participate in the same way.

It is about creating enough flexibility for every child to have a meaningful way to participate.

Alongside this programme, I continue to lead our Yoga Alliance–accredited Kids & Teens Yoga Teacher Training for ages 2–18, school and community programmes, and practical wellbeing workshops for educators and parents.

Whether you are looking to build a meaningful career in children’s wellbeing, are a parent exploring these tools for your child, or an educator or therapist looking to integrate yoga and mindfulness into your work with children, there are several opportunities to learn with us before the year ends.

Focus games for kids

Hello BlissYogaSG Community! 💜 As part of our BlissYogaSG community, I love sharing practical tips and insights to support children's focus, confidence and holistic well-being through yoga, mindfulness and purposeful play. One thing I've learnt from nearly a decade of working with children is that before we can teach, we need to engage. Whether we're teaching yoga, mindfulness or any other activity, if children aren't engaged and attentive, meaningful learning becomes much harder. Focus isn't...

What do you really walk away with after Kids Yoga Teacher Training? 💜 Not just a certificate — but the confidence, practical tools and understanding to walk into a room of children and know how to teach, engage, adapt yoga and mindfulness and lead meaning

When people first look at a Kids Yoga Teacher Training, they often ask: “What will I learn?” Yoga poses?Breathing activities?Games?Mindfulness? Yes — all of that. But after years of training teachers, I believe the more important question is: What should you be able to DO by the end of the training? My goal is that you don’t simply walk away with a certificate. You should be able to walk into a room of children and actually know what to do. -To observe before immediately instructing. -To...
